OFFICE OF

The Parliamentary Companion,

March 1st, 1878.

The Editor ventures to hope that the PARLIAMENTARY COMPANION for 1878 will be found fully equal to the volume preceding it. Two additions, which he trusts will prove useful, have been made, namely: a SUMMARY OF THE FISHERY QUESTION, and a Digest of the Award; also, an elaborate DIGEST OF ELECTION TRIALS, and practical points connected with Parliamentary Practice, from the notes of Christopher Robinson, Esq., Q.C., and F. J. Joseph, Esq., of Osgoode Hall, Barrister-at-law. The Editor would further thank the Provincial Secretaries of the various Provinces, Mr. Martin J. Griffin, of Halifax, Mr. W. Buckingham and other gentlemen for information promptly supplied; and hopes in a future edition to Still further improve what has now become a National Political Hand-Book.
