The Superintendents must provide the necessary materials, such as stands, nails, etc., for hanging up the casts supplied by the Board for the Examinations in Drawing in Light and Shade, Modelling from the Antique, and, in certain cases of special application, Freehand Drawing. Before the boxes of Casts are opened on each evening, Candidates' seats must be arranged opposite and about three feet away from the places for hanging up the Casts from which the Candidates are to draw. Superintendents must make themselves well acquainted with the confidential and special Instructions issued in respect of preliminary arrangements for many of the Art Examinations. The Instructions must be strictly observed, and on no account may the Superintendents communicate them to any one. Two Superintendents must be present at the opening of the envelope Model Drawing containing the Instructions for the Examination in MODEL DRAWING, except where 15 or a less number of Candidates are to be examined, when only one Superintendent need be present. The attendances of Superintendents for this purpose must be certified to on the form of certificate. No person, except as provided in par. 22 may be admitted to the room after the envelope containing the Instructions for the arrangement of the Models is opened, until the time fired for the admission of the Candidates. The Superintendents should, therefore, either remain in the room, or lock it up, until the time for admitting the Candidates.
