Facons de Voir: French in Review (Student Edition)

Our new text, Facons de voir: French in Review, provides a comprehensive intermediate French course in one volume. Facons de voir contains a wealth of readings from a variety of disciplines along with a detailed review of French grammar. The readings in Facons de voir are not drawn solely from literary sources but rather cover an interesting array of cross-disciplinary topics, from love in the Middle Ages to the rights of man in the 18th century to a woman's life in 20th century Africa. The grammar sections, which are all in French, review the basics but also address more complex questions of usage and syntax. In addition to the readings and the grammar review, each chapter also contains vocabulary work, cultural sections, pronunciation information, and topics for discussion and composition.
