EASTERN DISTRICT OF PENNSYLVANIA, to wit:
Be it Remembered, That on the seventeenth day of May, in the forty-third year of the Independence of the United States of America, A. D. 1819, M'Carty & Davis, of the said district, have deposited in this office the title of a book, the right whereof they claim as proprietors, in the words following, to wit:
"History of the Wars of the French Revolution, from the breaking out of the War in 1792, to the restoration of a general Peace in 1815; comprehending the Civil History of Great Britain and France, during that period, by Edward Baines; in four volumes, with Notes, and an original History of the late War between the United States and Great Britain; embellished with Portraits of the most distinguished Characters of the age, and illustrated with Maps, Plans, and Charts."
In conformity to the act of the Congress of the United States, intituled, "An act for the encouragement of learning, by securing the copies of maps, charts and books, to the authors and proprietors of such copies, during the times therein mentioned."-And also to the act, entitled, "An Act supplementary to an act, entitled, 'An Act for the encouragement of learning, by securing the copies of maps, charts and books to the authors and proprietors of such copies during the times therein mentioned,' and extending the benefits thereof to the arts of designing, engraving, and etching historical and other prints."
