RENTAL HOUSING FOR SENIOR CITIZENS AND NURSING HOMES-HOUSING AND HOME FINANCE AGENCY PROGRAMS Current Status: March 31, 1963 (PHA: Dec. 31, 1962) FOREWORD The spurt in the past several years, and particularly 1961 and 1962, in the production of rental housing specially designed for senior citizens has made it necessary to have an inventory system by which the constituent agencies can be cognizant of the activity in the various financing programs of senior citizens' housing. This publication attempts to fill this heed in part. It is a complete inventory of those rental projects specially designed for older persons with Federal financial assistance as of March 31, 1963, for FHA-231, FHA-207, CFA-202 as of December 31, 1962, for PHA. It sets forth the location of each project by State and by city and includes data on the following items: Program under which each project is being financed: completion status; the number of units involved; the type of units; the rental charges and the mortgage or loan amount.
