FOREWORD This publication presents all the requirements pertaining to Long-Term Care Facilities which are included in the General Standards of Construction and Equipment, Subpart M (Appendix A) of the "Public Health Service Regulations, Part 53, Pertaining to the Hospital Survey and Construction Act, as Amended. " The format has been changed, a table of contents has been added, and only requirements for Long-Term Care Facilities have been included; otherwise, the contents are as originally published in the Federal Register. |
