A Tenant for life of Messuages, &c. and a Tenant for life of Manors, &c. having agreed to exchange during their joint lives, they (by this deed) mutually demise their respective Estates for long terms, determinable on the death of either of them.

THIS Indenture made, &c. between A. A. of London, merchant, of the one part, and B. B. citizen and leatherseller of London, of the other part. Whereas the said A. A. or some other person or persons in trust for him, is and stands, or are and stand seised for the term of his natural life of and in the messuages, tenements, and hereditaments first hereinafter mentioned to be hereby granted and demised; And whereas the said B. B. or some other person or persons in trust for him, is and stands, or are and stand seised or possessed for the term of his natural life, or for some long term of years determinable upon his death, of and in the manors, messuages, lands, tenements, and hereditaments last hereinafter mentioned to be hereby granted and demised; And whereas the said A. A. and B. B. are minded and agreed to exchange with each other the aforesaid premises for and during their joint lives: Now therefore, for the end and purpose aforesaid, this indenture witnesseth, that for and in consideration of the grant and demise hereinafter made or mentioned to be made by the said B. B. to the said A. A. and in consideration of five shillings of lawful money of Great Britain to the said A. A. in hand paid by the said B. B. at or before the ensealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, he the said A. A. hath granted, bargained, sold, and demised, and by these presents Doth grant, bargain, sell, and demise unto the said B. B. and

his assigns, All that messuage or tenement, &c. And also all that messuage or tenement, with the appurtenances, &c. and all and every the shops, ways, easements, yards, courts, waters, water-courses, and other appurtenances, to the said messuages or tenements and premises mentioned to be hereby granted and demised, belonging or in anywise appertaining; To have and to hold the said messuages and tenements, and all and singular other the premises hereinbefore granted and demised, or mentioned to be granted and demised, with their and every of their appurtenances, unto the said B. B. and his assigns, from the feast of Saint Michael the archangel last past before the date of these presents, for and during the full time and term and unto the full end and term of sixty-one years from thence next ensuing, and fully to be complete and ended, if they the said A. A. and B. B. shall both of them jointly so long live. And this indenture further witnesseth, That for and in consideration of the grant and demise hereinbefore made by the said A. A. to the said B. B. as aforesaid, and in consideration of the sum of five shillings of lawful money of Great Britain to the said B. B. in hand paid by the said A. A. at or before the sealing and delivery of these presents, the receipt whereof is hereby acknow'ledged, he the said B. B. Hath granted, bargained, sold, and demised, and by these presents Doth grant, bargain, sell, and demise unto the said A. A. and his assigns, All that and those the manor and manors of

- and every of their rights, members, and appurtenances, and also all rents issuing or payable out of or for all or any lands, messuages, or tenements held of the said manor or manors, or incident or belonging to the said manor or mánors, or either of them; And also all that the scite and

-, And also all and singular the messuages, granges, mills, houses, edifices, buildings, barns, stables, dove-houses, gardens, orchards, yards, courts, lands, tenements, meadows, pastures, feedings, commons, common of pasture, demesne lands, wastes, heaths, furzes, moors, marshes, briers, woods, underwoods, trees, waters, fishings, fishing-pools, sluices to mills, multures, warrens, mines, quarries, rents, services, rent-charges, rents-seck and rent-services, as well of fee as of customary tenants, farms, fee-farms, annuities, escheats, releases, heriots, fines, amerciaments, courts leet, courts baron, views of frankpledge, franchises, waifs, customs, rights, jurisdictions, privileges, profits, commodities, advantages, emoluments, and hereditaments whatsoever, to the said manor or manors, lands, tenements, cottages, and premises, or to any of them in anywise belonging, appertaining, incident, or appendant, or with them or either or any of them heretofore demised, used, occupied, let, or enjoyed, or accepted, reputed, or taken as part, parcel, or member thereof, and all other the messuages, lands, tenements, and hereditaments whatsoever of him the said B. B. in aforesaid, or in any other place or places whatso

ever in the said counties of or either of them; To have and to hold the said manors, messuages, lands, tenements, hereditaments, and all and singular other the premises last hereinbefore granted and demised, or mentioned so to be, with their and every of their appurte nances, unto the said A. A. and his assigns, from the feast-day of Saint Michael last past before the date of these presents, for and during the full end and time, and unto the full end and term of sixty-one years from thence next ensuing and fully to be complete and ended, if they

the said A. A. and B. B. shall both of them so long live. And the said A. A. doth hereby for himself, his heirs, executors, and administrators, covenant, promise, and grant to and with the said B. B. and his assigns, that he the said A. A. hath not at any time heretofore made, done, committed, or suffered any act, matter, or thing whatsoever, whereby or by means whereof the said messuages, tenements, and premises first herein before granted and demised, or intended so to be, or any of them, or any part or parcel thereof, is, are, shall, or may be impeached or incumbered in title, charge, estate, or otherwise howsoever, during the estate hereby granted; And moreover, that he the said A A. and all and every person and persons claiming or to claim from, by, or under, or in trust for him, shall and will from time to time, and at all times hereafter during the term hereby granted, upon every reasonable request, and at the costs and charges of the said B. B. or his assigns, make, do, and execute, or cause to be made, done, and executed, all further and other lawful and reasonable acts, deeds, and things for the further and better granting and demising of the same messuages, tenements, and premises, unto the said B. B and his assigns, for and during the residue which shall be then to come of the said first-mentioned term of sixty-one years. And the said B. B. doth hereby for himself, his heirs, executors, and administrators, covenant, promise, and agree to and with the said A. A. and his assigns, that he the said B. B. hath not at any time heretofore made, done, committed, or suffered any act, matter, or thing whatsoever, whereby or by means whereof the said manors, messuages, lands, tenements, and premises last hereinbefore granted and demised, or intended so to be, or any

of them, or any part thereof, is, are, shall, or may be impeached, charged, or incumbered in title, charge, estate,' or otherwise howsoever, during the estate hereby granted; And moreover, that he the said B. B. and all and every person and persons claiming or to claim from, by, or under, or in trust for him, shall and will from time to time, and at all times hereafter during the estate hereby granted, upon every reasonable request, and at the costs and charges of the said A. A. or his assigns, make, do, and execute, or cause to be made, done, and executed, all further and other lawful and reasonable acts, deeds, and things for the further and better granting and demising of the same manors, messuages, lands, tenements, and premises, unto the said A. A. and his assigns, for and during all the residue which shall be then to come of the said last hereinbefore granted term of sixty-one years, determinable as aforesaid. In witness, &o.
