When the PROSPECTUS of this work issued, it was intended that the notes should be merely references to the decisions, since the Code took effect; but on more mature consideration, it was concluded to extend the notes so as to embrace the substance of the decisions and copious illustrative references to the former practice; by these means, while the practical utility of the work has been very materially enhanced, its bulk has been so greatly increased as to render it necessary to advance the price to $300.
