We the Cayuga Nation do acknowledge to have received from the People of the State of New York by the hands of Jasper Parrish the sum of two thousand three hundred dollars in full for the several annuities mentioned in a certain writing or agreement made at a treaty held at the Cayuga Ferry in the State of New York by Phillip Schuyler, John Cantine, David Brooks and John Richardson agents authorized by and in behalf of the People of the State of New York with the said Tribe ar Nation of Indians called the Cayugas on the 20th day of July 1795. MEAD State of New York, Ontario County, ss: On this twenty-second day of June 1824, came before me Eliphalet Taylor one of the Justices of the Peace in and for said County Horace Taylor to me personally known and made oath that the sum of two thousand three hundred dollars mentioned in the within receipt was paid on the day of the date of the said receipt, by Jasper Parrish in the presence of him the said Horace Taylor, to the several persons whose names are subscribed to the said receipt, and also that the said receipt was executed in the presence of him the said Horace Taylor for the uses and purposes therein expressed, and that he subscribed his name as a witness to the said receipt at the time the same was executed.
