Allied troops which may pass through, or be stationed 1815 in His dominions, shall be regulated by a particular Convention. Art. VI. His Majesty the King of Sardinia decla- Savoie. res, that by the first Article of the Treaty of 25th March last, in which He engages to maintain, in all its integrity, the Treaty of Paris of 30th May 1814, He does not mean to renounce the employment of the good offices which have been promised Him by His High and powerful Allies, towards obtaining for Him the restitution of that part of Savoy which the Treaty of Paris assigns to France. The Treaty of Chaumont, of 1st of Traité de March 1814, being rendered common to those Powers Chaumont who accede to that of the 25th of March 1815, namely, by the 4th Article of the last-mentioned Treaty, His Majesty the King of Sardinia reserves to Himself to regulate, in a separate Convention, should the case in contemplation occur, the aid which He may be able to furnish, or may demand in virtne of the said Treaty. T. II. 1 1815 Who, after having exchanged their full powers, found in good and due form, have agreed on the following Articles. Art. 1. His Majesty the King of Bavaria accedes to all the Stipulations of the Treaty of Vienna, of the 25th of March, as hereafter inserted, with the modifications mutually agreed upon by the Third Article of the present Convention. (Here follows a Copy of the Treaty of Vienna abovementioned, which has already been laid before Parliament.) Art. II. In consequence of this Accession, His Ma jesty the King of Great Britain and Ireland engages to consider all the Stipulations of the above Treaty as equally binding towards His Majesty the King of Bavaria, which thereby become completely reciprocal. Above all, the High Contracting Parties engage not to lay down their arms, but with common consent; His Majesty the King of Bavaria, for this purpose, reserves to Himself the right of accrediting a Minister to the Grand Head - Guarters. Art. 11. His Majesty the King of Bavaria engages on his side to bring into the field an army of 60,000 men, of whom 8,500 shall be cavalry, with a proper proportion of artillery, without counting his garrisons, and to employ them actively, and in concert against the common enemy. In the event of His Majesty's furnishing during the war battering train, it is agreed that he shall be proportionably remunerated. Art. IV. The present Treaty shall be ratified, and the ratifications exchanged in two months, or sooner, if possible. In faith of which the respective Plenipotentiaires have signed, and have thereunto affixed the Seal of their Arms. Lesquels, après avoir échangé leurs pleinspou– 1815 voirs trouvés en bonne et dûe forme, sont convenus des articles suivans: Art. I. Sa Majesté le Roi de Bavière accède à toutes les stipulations du traité de Vienne du 25 Mars inséré ciaprès, avec les modifications convenues mutuellement par le troisième article de la pré sente convention. (Ici suit le traité de Vienne ci-dessus mentionné.) Art. II. En conséquence de cette accession Sa Majesté le Roi de la Grande-Bretagne et d'Irlande s'engage à considérer toute les stipulations du traité ci-dessus comme également obligatoires envers S. M. le Roi de Bavière lesquelles par là deviennent complettement réciproques. De plus les hautes Parties contractantes s'engagent à ne point poser les armes si ce n'est de concert commun; Sa Majesté le Roi de Bavière se réserve à cette fin le droit d'accréditer un ministre auprès des grands quartiers généraux.
