Ond wrth y Mab, Dy orseddfainge di, O Dduw, sydd yn oes oesoedd; teyrn-wïalen uniondeb yw teyrnwialen dy deyrnas di. Ti a geraist gyfiawnder, a ac a gaseaist anwiredd; am hynny y'th eneiniodd Duw, sef dy Dduw di, âg olew gorfoledd tu hwnt i'th gyfeillion. Ac, Tydi yn y dechreuad, Arglwydd, a sylfaenaist y ddaear; a gwaith dy ddwylaw di yw y nefoedd. Hwynt-hwy a ddarfyddant; ond tydi sydd yn parhâu: a hwynt hwy oll fel dilledyn a heneiddiant; ac megis gwisg y plygi di hwynt, a hwy a newidir: ond tydi yr un ydwyt, a'th flynyddoedd ni phallant.

Yr Efengyl. St. Ioan i. 1. y dechreuad yr oedd y Gair, a'r Gair oedd gydâ Duw, a Duw oedd y Gair. Hwn oedd yn y dechreuad gydâ Duw. Trwyddo ef y gwnaethpwyd pob peth; ac hebddo ef ni wnaethpwyd dim a'r a wnaethpwyd. Ynddo ef yr oedd bywyd, a'r bywyd oedd oleuni dynion. A'r goleuni sydd yn llewyrchu yn y tywyllwch, a'r tywyllwch nid oedd yn ei amgyffred. Yr ydoedd gwr wedi ei anfon oddiwrth Dduw, a'i enw Ioan. Hwn a ddaeth yn dystiolaeth, fel y tystiolaethai am y goleuni, fel y credai pawb trwyddo ef. Nid efe oedd y goleuni, eithr efe a anfonasid fel y tystiolaethai am y goleuni. Hwn ydoedd y gwir oleuni, yr hwn sydd yn goleuo pob dyn a'r sydd yn dyfod i'r byd. Yn y byd yr oedd efe, a'r byd a wnaethpwyd trwyddo ef; a'r byd nid adnabu ef. At ei eiddo ei hun y daeth, a'i eiddo ei hun ni dderbyniasant ef. Ond

But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever; a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom: Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: they shall perish, but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; and as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed; but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail. Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness, and the darkness comprehended it not. There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the light, that all men through him might believe. He was not that light, but was sent to bear witness of that light. That was the true light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as

A'r Gair a wnaethpwyd yn gnawd, ac a drigodd yn ein plith ni (ac ni a welsom ei ogoniant ef, gogoniant megis yr uniganedig oddiwrth y Tad) yn llawn grâs a gwirionedd.

many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his Name: which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only-begotten of the Father) full of grace and truth.

GRANT, O Lord, that, in our sufferings here upon earth for the testimony of thy truth, we may stedfastly look up to heaven, and by faith behold the glory that shall be revealed; and, being filled with the holy Ghost, may learn to love and bless our persecutors by the example of thy first Martyr Saint St .who Stephen, prayed for his murderers to thee, O blessed Jesus, who standest at the right hand of God to succour all those that suffer for thee, our only Mediator and Advocate. Amen.

Then shall follow the Collect of the Nativity, which shall be said continually unto New-year's Eve. For the Epistle. Acts vii. 55.

STEPHEN, being full of the

holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God, and said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of Man standing on the right hand of God. Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord, and cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man's hwy a labyddiasant Stephan, ac efe yn galw ar Dduw, ac yn dywedyd, Arglwydd Iesu, derbyn fy yspryd. Ac efe a ostyngodd ar ei liniau, ac a lefodd â llêf uchel, Arglwydd, na ddod y pechod hwn yn eu herbyn. Ac wedi iddo ddywedyd hyn, efe a hunodd.

Yn wir meddaf i chwi, daw hyn oll ar y genhedlaeth hon. Ier Ierusalem, Ierusalem, yr hon wyt yn lladd y prophwydi, ac yn llabyddio y rhai a ddanfonir attat; pa sawl gwaith y mynnaswn gasglu dy blant y'nghyd, megis y casgl iar ei chywion tan ei hadenydd, ac nis mynnech? Wele, yr ydys yn gadael eich tŷ i chwi yn anghyfannedd. Canys meddaf i chwi, Ni'm gwelwch ar ol hyn, hyd oni ddywedoch, Bendigedig yw yr hwn sydd yn dyfod yn Enw yr Arglwydd.

prophets, and wise men, and scribes; and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city; that upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias, son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar. Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation. O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the Name of the Lord.

VR hyn oedd o'r dechreuad, yr hyn a glywsom, yr hyn a welsom a'n llygaid, yr hyn a edrychasom arno, ac a deimlodd ein dwylaw am air y bywyd (canys y bywyd a eglurhâwyd, ac ni a welsom, ac ydym yn tystiolaethu, ac yn mynegi i chwi y bywyd tragywyddol, yr hwn oedd gyda'r Tad, ac a eglurhawyd i ni) yr hyn a welsom ac a glywsom, yr ydym yn ei fynegi i chwi, fel y caffoch chwithau hefyd gymdeithas gyda ni: a'n cymdeithas ni yn wîr sydd gydar Tad, a chyd a'i Fab ef lesu Grist. A'r pethau hyn yr ydym yn eu hysgrifenu attoch, fel y byddo eich llawenydd yn gyflawn. A hon yw'r gennadwri a glywsom ganddo ef, ac yr ydym chwi chwi, mai goleuni yw Duw, ac nad oes ynddo ddim tywyllwch. Os dywedwn fod i ni gymdeithas âg ef, a rhodio yn y tywyllwch, celwyddog ydym, ac nid ydym yn gwneuthur y gwirionedd. Eithr os rhodiwn yn y goleuni, megis y mae efe yn y goleuni, y mae i ni gymdeithas â'n gilydd, a gwaed Iesu Grist ei Fab ef sydd yn ein glanhâu ni oddiwrth bob pechod. Os dywedwn nad oes ynom bechod, yr ydym yn ein tw twyllo ein hunain, a'r gwirionedd nid yw ynom. Os cyfaddefwn ein pechodau, ffyddlawn yw efe, a chyfiawn, fel y maddeuo i ni ein pechodau, ac y'n glanhão oddiwrth bob anghyfiawnder. Os dywedwn na phechasom, yr ydym yn ei wneuthur ef yn gelwyddog, a'i air ef nid yw ynom. Yr Efengyl. St. Ioan xxi. 19. R Iesu a ddywedodd wrth Petr, Canlyn fi. beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled of the word of life; (for the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full. This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, That God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: but if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.

The Gospel. St. John xxi. 19. ESUS said unto Peter, Follow me. Then Peter, turning about, seeth the disciple oedd yr yr Iesu yn ei garu, yn canlyn : yr hwn hefyd a bwysasai ar ei ddwyfron ef ar swpper, ac a ddywedasai, Pwy, Arglwydd, yw yr hwn a'th fradycha di? Pan welodd Petr hwn, efe a ddywedodd wrth yr Iesu, Arglwydd, ond beth a wna hwn? Yr Iesu a ddywedodd wrtho, Os mynnaf iddo aros hyd oni ddelwyf, beth yw hynny i ti? canlyn di fyfi. Am hynny yr aeth y gair yma allan ym mlith y brodyr, na fyddai y disgybl hwnnw ni ddywedasai yr Iesu wrtho, na fyddai efe farw; ond, Os mynnaf iddo aros hyd oni ddelwyf, beth yw hynny iti? Hwn yw'r disgybl sydd yn tystiolaethu am y pethau hyn, ac a'sgrifenodd y pethau hyn; ac ni a wyddom fod ei dystiolaeth ef yn wir. Ac y mae hefyd lawer o bethau eraill a wnaeth yr Iesu, y rhai ped ysgrifenid hwy bob yn un ac un, nid wyf yn tybied y cynhwysai y byd y llyfrau a'sgrifenid.

whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper, and said, Lord, which is he that betrayeth thee? Peter seeing him saith to Jesus, Lord, and what shall this man do? Jesus saith unto him, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? Follow thou me. Then went this saying abroad among the brethren, That that disciple should not die: yet Jesus said not unto him, He shall not die; but, If I will that he tarry till I come, what is that to thee? This is the disciple which testifieth of these things, and wrote these things, and we know that his testimony is true. And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which if they should be written every one, I suppose, that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written.
