LA Convention de Commerce conclue entre la Suède et l'Espagne le 27 juin 1892 devant, aux termes des Notes échangées le 17 et le 18 mars dernier entre le Chargé d'Affaires de Suède à Madrid et votre Excellence, cesser ses effets le 20 de ce mois, le Gouvernement du Roi, désirant éviter une situation au cours de laquelle les relations commerciales entre la Suède et l'Espagne ne seraient régies par aucun accord, m'a chargé de proposer au Gouvernement de Sa Majesté Catholique la conclusion d'un modus vivendi sur les bases suivantes : Le Gouvernement de Sa Majesté Catholique s'engage à appliquer aux marchandises provenant de Suède la seconde colonne ou tarif minimum du tarif douanier provisoire espagnol du 17 mai 1921 avec les modifications prévues dans le Décret royal du 3 juin 1921 et, de son côté, le Gouvernement du Roi déclare que les marchandises espagnoles bénéficieront, à leur entrée en Suède, du traitement de la nation la plus favorisée : l'Espagne ne pourra cependant pas revendiquer. en vertu de cette dernière stipulation, les faveurs spéciales accordées ou qui viendraient à être accordées par la Suède au Danemark ou à la Norvège, ou à ces deux pays, aussi longtemps que ces mêmes faveurs n'auront pas été accordées à un autre Etat.
