ATTENTION IS DIRECTED TO THE FOLLOWING PROVISIONS OF THE

PREVENTION OF CRIME ACT, 1908.

A Licence may be revoked at any time by the Prison Commissioners for Scotland, and where a Licence has been revoked the person to whom the Licence related must return to the Institution, and if he fails to do so may be apprehended without warrant and taken to the Institution.

If a person absent from an Institution under such a Licence escapes from the supervision of the society or person in whose charge he is placed, or commits any breach of the conditions contained in the Licence, ne shall be considered thereby to have forfeited the Licence.

The time during which a person is absent from an Institution under such a Licence shall be treated as part of the time of his detention in the Institution, provided that where that person has failed to return to the Institution on the Licence being forfeited or revoked, the time which elapses after his failure so to return shall be excluded in computing the time during which he is to be detained in the Institution.

1, 1911, UNDER SECTION 24 (11) OF THE RAILWAY AND CANAL
TRAFFIC ACT, 1888 (51 & 52 VICT. c. 25) AMENDING THE
CLASSIFICATION OF MERCHANDISE TRAFFIC,
SCHEDULES OF MAXIMUM RATES AND CHARGES.

AND THE

Whereas application has been made to the Board of Trade on behalf of all the Railway Companies in the United Kingdom to amend the classification of merchandise traffic and Schedules. of Maximum Rates and Charges fixed in pursuance of the abovementioned Act, by adding to the said classification the following articles, matters, or things, viz. :

Radiators, iron (steam, hot water, and hot air), common,
not polished, nor enamelled, nor painted.
Radiators, iron, e.o.h.p.

And whereas the Board of Trade have heard the parties in support of, and in opposition to, the said application :

Now, therefore, the Board of Trade, in pursuance of the powers in them vested by the provisions of section 24, sub-section (11), of the above-mentioned Act, do hereby determine and order that the classification of merchandise traffic and Schedules of Maximum Rates and Charges confirmed by the Acts of Parliament set out in the Schedule to this Order be amended in manner following, that is to say, by adding to

Class 1.-Radiators, cast iron (steam, hot water, and hot air), common, coated or uncoated, but not polished,

or enamelled, or painted, or plated.

Class 3.-Radiators, iron, e.o.h.p.

NOTE.-Section 24, sub-section 11, of the Railway and Canal Traffic Act, 1888, provides that, Every determination of the Board of Trade under this sub-section shall forthwith be published in the London Gazette, and shall take effect as from the date of the publication thereof."

AND THE
