[S. 456.) [Private, No. 39.) Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United

States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the
Pension increased. Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the

pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension
laws, the name of Andrew J. Pierce, late of Company G, First Regi-
ment United States Volunteer Sharpshooters, and pay him a pension
at the rate of twenty dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving.

laws, the name of Charles Beattie, late first lieutenant Company F,
Fourteenth Regiment Wisconsin Volunteer Infantry, and pay him a
pension at the rate of twenty-four dollars per month in lieu of that he
is now receiving.

States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the
Pension increased. Interior be, and he is herehy, authorized and directed to place on the

pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension
laws, the name of Silas Meserve, late of Company F, Twentieth Regi-
ment Maine Volunteer Infantry, and pay him a pension at the rate of
thirty dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving.

first lieutenant Company K, Thirtieth Regiment Maine Volunteer Infantry, and pay her a pension at the rate of seventeen dollars per month in lieu of that she is now receiving.

CHAP. 55.—An Act Granting a pension to Nancy S. Marsh.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United [Private, No. 44.] States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Nancy S. Marsh, widow of Luther R. Marsh, late unassigned, Twelfth Regiment Maine Volunteer Infantry, and pay her a pension at the rate of eight dollars per month.

CHAP. 56.—An Act Granting an increase of pension to Irving W. Coombs.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Irving W. Coombs, late of Company H, Fifteenth Regiment New Hampshire Volunteer, Infantry, and pay him a pension at the rate of sixteen dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of James E. Barnard, late of Company K, Ninth Regiment New Hampshire Volunteer Infantry, and pay him a pension at the rate of twenty-four dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving.

CHAP. 57.--An Act Granting an increase of pension to Royal A. S. Kingsley.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the le pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Royal A. S. Kingsley, late of Company A, Seventyninth Regiment Indiana Volunteer Infantry, and Company D, Fiftyfirst Regiment Indiana Volunteer Infantry, and pay him a pension at the rate of twenty-four dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving.
