Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Pension increased. Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Jerningham Boone, late surgeon, Thirteenth Regiment Maryland Volunteer Infantry, and pay him a pension at the rate of twenty-four dollars per month in lieu of that he is now reciving. Parker, late of Company E, Purnell Legion Maryland Volunteer Infantry, and captain Company C, Third Regiment Maryland Volunteer Cavalry, and pay him a pension at the rate of twenty dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of John A. Chamberlain, late of Company G, Fourth Regiment Maryland Volunteer Infantry, and Ninety-fifth Company, Second Battalion Veteran Reserve Corps, and pay him a pension at the rate of thirty dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Pension increased. Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the

laws, the name of William Turner, late of Company K, Second Regiment Missouri Mounted Volunteers, war with Mexico, and pay him a pension at the rate of twenty dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving.

CHAP. 489.—An Act Granting an increase of pension to Linus S. Ludington. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Linus S. Ludington, late of Company G, First Regiment Connecticut Volunteer Heavy Artillery, and One hundred and nineteenth Company, Second Battalion Veteran Reserve Corps, and pay him a pension at the rate of twenty dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving. laws, the name of George B. Abbott, late of Company H, Thirteenth
Regiment New Hampshire Volunteer Infantry, and pay him a pension
at the rate of thirty dollars per month.a lieu of that he is now receiving.

laws, the name of Charles J. Clark, late lieutenant-colonel Twenty-
third Regiment Iowa Volunteer Infantry, and pay him a pension at
rate the of thirty dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving.

Folsom, widow of Asa Folsom, late of Company B, Second Regiment New Hampshire Volunteer Infantry, and pay her a pension at the rate of twelve dollars per month in lieu of that she is now receiving.

Gove, late musician, Third Regiment New Hampshire Volunteer Infantry, and Second Brigade, Tenth Army Corps, United States Volunteers, and pay him a pension at the rate of twenty dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving. Dickey, late of Company A, First Regiment California Volunteer Infantry, and pay him a pension at the rate of thirty dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving. Approved, March 8, 1904.

CHAP. 507.—An Act For the relief of N. F. Palmer, junior, and Company.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United
States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the
Treasury be, and he is hereby, directed to pay to N. F. Palmer, junior,
and Company the sum of sixty-three thousand six hundred and twenty
dollars and fifty-nine cents, out of any money in the Treasury not
otherwise appropriated, in full of their claim for damages and losses
incurred in the construction of the armored cruiser Maine, that being
the amount recommended to be paid by the Secretary of the Navy.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That Darwin S. Hall be, and is hereby, relieved from the obligation to refund the sum of one hundred and eleven dollars, being the difference claimed to be due from him in his account as commissioner, Chippewa Commission in Minnesota, and special disbursing agent from October tenth, eighteen hundred and ninety-seven, to July thirty-first, nineteen hundred. Simms, United States Revenue-Cutter Service (retired), having been Revenue-Cutter Serv promoted "for meritorious acts of public service and wounds received in the United States service, as appears upon the public records of the volunteer service of the Army and Navy and of the Revenue-Cutter Service," shall hereafter receive the full retired pay of his said rank.
