CHAP. 535.-An Act Granting a pension to Lizzie M. Worster.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension the name of Lizzie M. Worster, widow of Isaac H. Worster, late of Company H, Sixteenth Regiment United States Infantry, and pay her a pension at the rate of twelve dollars per month.

CHAP. 536.-An Act Granting a pension to Maggie Fitzpatrick.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Maggie Fitzpatrick, widow of John Fitzpatrick, late of Company E, Eleventh Regiment Kentucky Volunteer Cavalry, and pay her a pension at the rate of eight dollars per month. Approved, March 11, 1904.

CHAP. 537.-An Act Granting a pension to Virginia Boyd.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Virginia Boyd, widow of John Boyd, late of Company A, Fourth Battalion District of Columbia Volunteer Infantry, and pay her a pension at the rate of eight dollars per month. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Mary Tate, widow of Payton Tate, late of Company I, Third Regiment United States Colored Volunteer Heavy Artillery, and pay her a pension at the rate of eight dollars per month. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United Marceline P. Ham- States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Marceline P. Hamilton, widow of William H. Hamilton, late captain Company F, Third Regiment Connecticut Volunteer Infantry, war with Spain, and pay her a pension at the rate of twenty dollars per mor th.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United [Private, No. 494.] States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Joseph H. Huie, late of Company H, Fifth Regiment United States Volunteer Infantry, war with Spain, and pay him a pension at the rate of eight dollars per month.

CHAP. 541.-An Act For the relief of the Farmers and Mechanics' National Bank, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to issue to the Farmers and Mechanics' National Bank, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a duplicate in lieu of United States gold certificate of the Act of March fourteenth, nineteen hundred, series of nineteen hundred, numbered sixteen thousand four hundred and fifty-four, for ten thousand dollars, issued by the assistant treasurer of the United States, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on July eighteenth, nineteen hundred and three, payable to the order of the Farmers and Mechanics' National Bank, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and alleged to have been lost: Provided, That the said Farmers and Mechanics' National Bank shall first file in the Treasury a bond in the penal sum of double the amount of the principal of said certificate, with good and sufficient sureties to be approved by the Secretary of the Treasury, with condition to indemnify and save harmless the United States from any claim because of the lost certificate hereinbefore described.

CHAP. 549.-An Act Authorizing and directing the Secretary of the Treasury to pay John F. Weston the sum of two hundred and forty-one dollars and sixty cents, and so forth.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Treasury be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to pay, out of the Treasury of the United States, from any money not otherwise appropriated, to John F. Weston, the sum of two hundred and fortyone dollars and sixty cents, being compensation for loss, in eighteen hundred and seventy-seven, of his professional books and clothing while changing station, under orders, from the cantonment on Tongue River, Montana, to Helena, Montana, as captain and commissary of subsistence, United States Army.

Willey, late of Company B, Twenty-fourth Regiment Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry, and pay him a pension at the rate of sixty dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving.

Driggars, widow of Daniel T. Driggars, late of Captain Evans's company, Georgia Volunteers, Creek Indian war, and pay her a pension at the rate of eight dollars per month. Approved, March 16, 1904.

Taylor, late second lieutenant Company F, One hundred and twenty-fifth Regiment New York Volunteer Infantry, and pay him a pension at the rate of thirty dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving.
