CHAP. 802.-An Act For the relief of Leonard I. Brownson.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the President of the United States be, and he is hereby, authorized to revoke and set aside SO much of General Orders, Numbered Twenty-one, Headquarters Middle Military Division, dated September eighteenth, eighteen hundred and sixty-four, as dismissed First Lieutenant Leonard I. Brownson, Company K, Fifth Vermont Volunteers, for absence without leave and for conduct prejudicial to good order and military discipline and to grant and cause to be issued to said Leonard I. Brownson a certificate of honorable muster out of the service as of the date of September eighteenth, eighteen hundred and sixty-four; and said Leonard I. Brownson shall not be entitled, by virtue of this Act, to any pay or allowance.

CHAP. 803.-An Act Correcting the record of Harris Graffen.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That Harris Graffen shall Military record cor- hereafter be held and considered to have been honorably discharged from the military service of the United States as a second lieutenant of the Sixth Regiment Pennsylvania Cavalry Volunteers on the eighteenth day of September, eighteen hundred and sixty-two, and that the charge of desertion standing against him upon the records of said regiment shall hereafter be held and considered to be erroneous and without effect: Provided, That no pay, bounty, or other emoluments shall become due or payable by virtue of the passage of this Act. CHAP. 804.-An Act Granting a pension to George W. Craig.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of George W. Craig, late of Company D, Fourteenth Regiment Missouri Home Guards, and pay him a pension at the rate of twelve dollars per month.

CHAP. 805.-An Act Granting an increase of pension to Thomas Thompson. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Thomas Thompson. Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Thomas Thompson, late of Company A, Ninetyninth Regiment Ohio Volunteer Infantry, and pay him a pension at the rate of twenty-four dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving.

CHAP. 806.-An Act Granting a pension to Mahala Alexander.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the

pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the name of Mahala Alexander, widow of George W. Alexander, late of Captain Newman's company, Tennessee Volunteers, Florida Indian war, and pay her a pension at the rate of eight dollars per month.

Garrett, helpless and dependent son of John M. Garrett, late of Company A, Sixth Regiment Illinois Volunteer Cavalry, and pay him a pension at the rate of twelve dollars per

month.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That the Secretary of the Interior be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to place on the pension roll, subject to the provisions and limitations of the pension laws, the pame of John McFarlane, late of the U. S. S. North Carolina and Octorara, United States Navy, and pay him a pension at the rate of thirty dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving. Approved, February 25, 1905.

Read, late of Company B, One hundred and thirty-second Ohio National Guard Volunteer Infantry, and pay him a pension at the rate of twenty-four dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving.

Helm, late of Company F, Tenth Regiment Indiana Volunteer Cavalry, and pay him a pension at the rate of twenty-four dollars per month in lieu of that he is now receiving.

Southerland, late of Captain Gilbreath's company, Alabama Volunteer Scouts and Guides, and pay him a pension at the rate of eight dollars per month.
