At a General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, began and held at the Capitol, in the city of Frankfort, on Tuesday, the fourth day of January, in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-eight, and the one hundred and sixth year of the Commonwealth, that being the day fixed by law for the meeting thereof, Thos. S: Kirk, Assistant Clerk of the last House of Representatives, called the House to order, and after prayer by Elder George Darsie, of the Christian church, the assistant clerk produced and read the following certificate from the Secretary of State: THE COMMONWEALTH OF KENTUCKY, SCT. I, Chas. W. Finley, Secretary of State for the State of Kentucky, do hereby certify that there are on file in my office certificates of election, issued and signed by the legally constituted authorities, showing that the following named persons have been duly elected as members of the House of Representatives for the session of 1898, viz: M.
