II. Les relations d'amitié et de commerce entre les 2 Pays se ront rétablies de part et d'autre, sur le pied des Nations les plus favorisées.

III. Si, en haine de la Pacification présente et du rétablissement de la bonne intelligence entre les 2 Pays, une Puissance quelconque faisait la guerre, soit à Sa Majesté Britannique, soit à Sa Majesté Impériale, les 2 Souverains Contractans s'engagent à prendre fait et cause, l'un pour l'autre, pour le maintien et pour la sureté de leurs Etats respectifs.

IV. Les 2 Hautes Parties Contractantes se réservent de s'entendre et de s'arranger le plutôt possible, sur tout ce qui pourrait

Who, after the exchange of their respective Full Powers, drawn up in good and due form, have agreed upon the following Articles:

ART, I. There shall be between His Majesty the King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, and His Majesty the Emperor of All the Russias, their Heirs and Successors, and be tween their respective States and Subjects, a firm, true, and inviol, able Peace, and a sincere and perfect union and friendship, so that from this moment all cause of misunderstanding which may have existed between them, shall be considered as entirely ceasing and done away.

II. The relations of friendship and commerce between the 2 Countries shall be re-established on both sides, upon the footing of the most favoured Nations.

III. If, in resentment of the present pacification, and of the re-establishment of the good understanding between the 2 Countries, any Power whatsoever shall commit hostilities, whether against His Britannic Majesty or against His Imperial Majesty, the 2 Contracting Sovereigns engage to make common cause for the support and security of their respective States.

IV. The 2 High Contracting Parties will endeavour to come to an understanding and arrangement as soon as possible, as to all

II. The relations of friendship and commerce between the 2 Kingdoms, shall be re-established upon the footing on which they stood on the 1st day of January, 1791*; and all the Treaties and Conventions subsisting between

IV. Le présent Traité sera ratifié par les 2 Hautes Parties Contractantes, et les Ratifications en seront échangées en 6 semaines, ou plutôt si faire se peut. En foi de quoi, nous Soussignés, en vertu de nos Pleinspouvoirs, avons signé le présent Traité, et l'avons muni du Cachet de nos Armes.

Fait à Orebro, le 18 jour du mois de Juillet, l'an de Grâce, 1812.

If in resentment of the present pacification, and the reestablishment of good understanding between the 2 Countries, any Power whatsoever shall make war upon Sweden, His Majesty the King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland engages to take measures, in concert with His Majesty the King of Sweden, for the security and independence of his States.

IV. The present Treaty shall be ratified by the 2 High Contracting Parties, and the Ratifications shall be exchanged within 6 weeks, or sooner, if possible.

In faith whereof, we the Undersigned, in virtue of our Full Powers, have signed the present Treaty, and have fixed thereto the Seal of our Arms.
