"Notes and Queries" has appeared nearly four thousand times since its formation in 1849, and almost all the back numbers are in stock. There are limits to the amount of shelf-room at our disposal, and the pressure on our space increases every week. It will, therefore, be necessary shortly to destroy all back numbers apparently surplus to the ordinary demand. Subscribers who wish to complete their files are requested to write immediately to the Manager (20, High Street, Wycombe, Bucks, England), and to state their requirements. An adequate number of copies not more than a year old will always be kept in stock; but after this notice we cannot undertake to supply back numbers of earlier date. |
