Who, having communicated to each other their respective Full Powers, have agreed to the following Articles:

ART. I. His Britannic Majesty engages to pay to His Majesty the King of Sardinia a Subsidy of £11 2s. per man, for the service of the year ending on the 1st of April, 1816, to the number of 15,000 men. This Subsidy shall be paid in London at the end of each month, by monthly instalments, to the Person duly authorized to receive the same on the part of His Sardinian Majesty, and the 1st payment is to be made upon the exchange of the Ratifications of the present Treaty. In case Peace should be signed between the Allied Powers and France before the expiration of the said year, the Subsidy shall be paid up to the end of the month in which the Definitive Treaty shall have been signed; and His Britannic Majesty promises, in addition, to pay to His Majesty the King of Sardinia 1 month's Subsidy, to cover the expenses of the return of His Majesty's Troops within his own Frontier.

II. The Minister of His Sardinian Majesty in Londou shall concert with the Officers to be appointed by His Britannic Majesty, as to the most convenient mode of transmitting the money for the use of His Majesty the King of Sardinia.

III. His Royal Highness the Prince Regent, acting in the name and on the behalf of His Majesty the King of Great Britain and Ireland, shall commission an Officer to the Head-Quarters of His Sardinian Majesty, in order to report the military operations, and this Officer shall be permitted to ascertain that the Contingent of His Majesty is kept complete.

IV. In case His Sardinian Majesty should have it in his power to increase his Army in the Field to the number of 30,000 men, the possibility of which is stated in the IIIrd Article of the Treaty of Accession of His said Majesty, signed at Vienna, the 9th of April, 1815, His Royal Highness the Prince Regent will take the circumstance into consideration, and will consult upon the means of assisting His Majesty the King of Sardinia to carry this additional exertion into effect.

V. This Treaty shall be ratified, and the Ratifications shall be exchanged in London as soon as possible.

In faith of which, the respective Plenipotentiaries have signed the same, and have thereunto affixed the Seals of their Arms.

(18.)-TREATY of Subsidy between Great Britain and SaxeCoburg, Saxe-Meiningen, and Saxe-Hildburghausen.-Signed (in English and French) at Brussels, the 15th June, 1815.

His Highness the Duke of Saxe-Cobourg, and their Highnesses the

Dukes of Saxe-Meinungen and Saxe-Hildbourghausen, having, by a Treaty signed at Vienna on the 27th April, 1815, acceded to the Treaty of General Alliance signed at the same Place on the 25th March last, by the Plenipotentiaries of Great Britain, Austria, Russia and Prussia, and having engaged to employ in the field,-His Highness the Duke of Saxe-Cobourg a Contingent of 803 men; and their Highnesses the Dukes of Saxe-Meinungen and Saxe-Hildbourghausen a Contingent of 1001 men;

And His Royal Highness the Prince Regent, acting in the name and on the behalf of His Majesty the King of Great Britain and Ireland, being desirous, as far as may be in his power, to assist their Highnesses the Dukes of Saxe-Cobourg, Saxe-Meinungen, and SaxeHildbourghausen, in order to enable their Highnesses to make the exertions to carry into execution their engagements, has named the Duke of Wellington, &c. &c. &c.;

And their Highnesses the Dukes of Saxe-Cobourg, Saxe-Meinungen, and Saxe-Hildbourghausen, have named the Colonel Baron de Hardenbroek, in order to discuss and settle the terms on which the said assistance shall be given;

(19.)-TREATY of Subsidy between Great Britain and Saxe-Gotha and Altenburg-Signed (in English and French) at Paris, 1st August, 1815.

His Serene Highness the Reigning Duke of Saxe-Gotha and Altenburg, having, by a Treaty signed at Vienna on the 27th of April, acceded to the Treaty of General Alliance signed at the same Place on the 25th of March, 1815, by the Plenipotentiaries of Great Britain, Austria, Russia and Prussia, and having engaged to employ in the field a Contingent of 2,200 men ;

And His Royal Highness the Prince Regent, acting in the name and on the behalf of His Majesty the King of Great Britain and Ireland, being desirous, as far as may be in his power, to assist His Serene Highness the Duke of Saxe-Gotha, in order to enable His Serene Highness the Duke to make the exertions for carrying into execution his engagements, has named the Duke of Wellington, &c. &c &c.;

And His Serene Highness the Duke of Saxe-Gotha has named Baron Gersdorff, &c. &c. &c., in order to discuss and settle the terms on which the said assistance shall be given;

This Subsidy shall be paid in London at the end of each month, by monthly instalments, to the Person duly authorized to receive the same on the part of His Serene Highness the Duke of Saxe-Gotha, and the 1st payment is to be made upon the exchange of the Ratifications of this Treaty.

In case Peace should take place or be signed between the Allied Powers and France before the expiration of the said year, the Subsidy shall be paid up to the end of the month in which the Definitive Treaty shall have been signed, and His Britannic Majesty promises, in addition, to pay to His Serene Highness the Duke of Saxe Gotha the Subsidy of 1 month, to cover the expenses of the return of his Troops within his own Frontiers.

(20.)-TREATY of Subsidy between Great Britain and Saxe-Weimar and Eisenach.-Signed (in English and French) at Paris, 1st August, 1815.

His Royal Highness the Grand Duke of Saxe-Weimar and Eisenach, having, by a Treaty signed at Vienna on the 27th of April, acceded to the Treaty of General Alliance signed at the same Place on the 25th of March, 1815, by the Plenipotentiaries of Great Britain, Austria, Russia and Prussia, and having engaged to employ in the field a Contingent of 1,600 men;

And His Royal Highness the Prince Regent, acting in the name and on the behalf of His Majesty the King of Great Britain and Ireland, being desirous, as far as may be in his power, to assist His Royal Highness the Grand Duke of Saxe-Weimar and Eisenach, in order to enable His Royal Highness the Grand Duke to make the exertions for carrying into execution his engagements, has named the Duke of Wellington, &c. &c. &c.;

And His Royal Highness the Grand Duke of Saxe-Weimar and Eisenach has named His Privy Councillor, Baron Gersdorff, &c. &c. &c., in order to discuss and settle the terms on which the said assistance shall be given;

Who, having communicated to each other their respective Full Powers, have agreed to the following Articles; viz.

His Britannic Majesty engages to pay to His Royal Highness the Grand Duke of Saxe-Weimar, a Subsidy of £11 2s. per man, for the service of the year ending on the 1st day of April, 1816, to the number of 1,600 men. This Subsidy shall be paid in London at the end of each month, by monthly instalments, to the Person duly authorized to receive the same on the part of His Royal Highness the Grand Duke of Saxe-Weimar, and the 1st payment is to be made upon the exchange of the Ratifications of this Treaty.

In case Peace should take place or be signed between the Allied. Powers and France before the expiration of the said year, the Subsidy shall be paid up to the end of the month in which the Definitive Treaty shall have been signed; and His Britannic Majesty promises,

in addition, to pay to His Royal Highness the Grand Duke of SaxeWeimar the Subsidy of 1 month, to cover the expenses of the return of his Troops within his own Frontiers.

II. His Royal Highness the Grand Duke of Saxe-Weimar's Agent in London shall concert with the Officers to be appointed by His Britannic Majesty, as to the mode most convenient for the transmission of the money for the use of His Royal Highness the Grand Duke of Saxe-Weimar.

(21.) TREATY of Subsidy between Great Britain and Saxony.— Signed (in English and French) at Paris, 14th July, 1815.

His Majesty the King of Saxony having, by a Treaty signed at Vienna, on the 27th May, acceded to the Treaty of General Alliance, signed at the same Place on the 25th of March last, by the Plenipotentiaries of Great Britain, Austria, Russia and Prussia, and having engaged to employ in the field a Contingent of 8,000 men, one-tenth of which shall be Cavalry, with Artillery in proportion;

And His Royal Highness the Prince Regent, acting in the name and on the behalf of His Majesty the King of Great Britain and Ireland, being desirous, as far as may be in his power, to assist the King of Saxony, in order to enable His Majesty to make the exertions to carry into execution his engagements, has named the Duke of Wellington, &c. &c. &c.;

And His Majesty the King of Saxony has named General de Funck, in order to discuss and settle the terms on which the said assistance, shall be given;

Who, having communicated to each other their respective Full Powers, have agreed to the following Articles:
