Seven or more persons, a majority of Formation of whom are residents of this commonwealth, may form SECTION 2. Such corporation may be formed for any educational, charitable, benevolent or religious purpose; for the prosecution of any antiquarian, historical, literary, scientific, medical, artistic, monumental or musical pur- pose; for establishing and maintaining libraries; for sup- porting any missionary enterprise having for its object the dissemination of religious or educational instruction in foreign countries; for promoting temperance or moral- ity in this commonwealth; for encouraging athletic exer- cises or yachting; for encouraging the raising of choice breeds of domestic animals and poultry; for the associa- tion and accommodation of societies of Free Masons, Odd Fellows, Knights of Pythias or other charitable or so- cial bodies of a like character and purpose; for the estab- |
